Mixtape Direct Intervew With The LO
What is the meaning behind the name, The LO?
The name is broke down of my old street nick name solo. The lo {last one} is just how i feel.
How long have you been an artist and what inspired you to become an artist?
I've been an artist for 5 yrs my inspiration was the way people accepted my words when i took time to speak any rhyme for my friends.
What do you bring to the Chicago music scene?
I bring a unique sound, swag, and storytelling at an all-time high.
How did you get connected with Dough (From Da Go)?
A now relative thought it would be good if we meet, link up and make some things happen
There are a lot of artists and producers who have come out of the Chicago music scene. Are there any that you feel gives back to Chicago after getting major deals?
Hell no i guess they have their reasons Chicago isn’t supportive until u get on then there is a few people worth reaching for i been put on for my city.
As a fan of Hip Hop, who do you listen to?
Almost everybody. I’m not with that snap and pop shit all coasts get air play in my car and crib.
If you were offered a major deal, would you accept it or rather stay an independent artist? Why?
The way i feel the deal is popping for the platform, promo, big budget videos, indie you can get more money after you build the brand. So, on that note I’ll just leave it in the air.
What separate you from other artists?
I'm more creative willing to push the envelope writing, or with the beats.
Are mixtapes a major part of your career as an artist and how so?
Mixtapes have helped me build a buzz and do great collabo's with other artists but not a major part of what I got going.
What are some future projects that you have coming out?
You all can catch me on random hood videos; dvds, mixtapes and the album "IT IS I" will be out in the third quarter featuring some of your favorite rap stars.
